Better late than never?

Two big events just passed without my acknowledgment, so here goes:



My Mom and Dad celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on Oct. 20th. Yay! I'm sure they will tell you the time has flown by (or maybe not). :) I'm very happy for them. They are wonderful role models and I hope they share at least another 34 years together. This picture was taken in April at Descanso Gardens. Love you Mom and Dad!



Some other big, exciting news, was my Grandpa Olson's 75th birthday! This photo was taken when G&G visited Simi shortly before the Howards moved to TX. Grandpa is holding his first great granddaughter, Caroline.

My mom and dad drove down to the Desert to share a nice birthday dinner with Grandpa, Grandma, and several other family members. Unfortunately, I had to work this past weekend, so no birthday fun for me. I tried calling Gramps on his b-day (the 19th), but his phone was out of order. Oops! I hope to make a trip to visit G&G very soon. I miss them!

He just had to win on my birthday...ugh.

Al Gore Saves the World:




I can't believe Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize. What a joke. How has he brought about peace exactly? I suppose if Arafat and Carter can be recipients, why not Al? I guess the Nobel committee wants to continue their recent tradition of honoring the undeserved with the "peace" prize. Maybe Ahmadinejad will win next year...you never know.

A tad bit late

Happy Birthday to my big sister! I hope you had a great time (despite having to visit the doctor to vaccinate your kiddos). Wish I could have been there to celebrate with you. We'll have to have a party to celebrate our b-days when I'm in town next month. Mmmm...seven layer bean dip and beer! Hee hee...
